Policies And Procedures
Thank you for choosing Water Wise Swim School.  In order to provide a fun, safe and quality service for all of our swimmers and families we ask that you take a few moments to review the policies and procedures.

How Qualified are the instructors?
Each instructor is WSI certified and uses State of the art curriculum for teaching swimming and teaching techniques that have taught thousand of children and adults to swim, and also reach goals they never thought they could accomplish. All of our instructors are thoroughly screened and back ground checks are administered.

To ensure quality swimming for every child and adult, every teacher is trained by our Company’s owner and founder Danelle Helseth. American Red Cross has even given her high recommendations and impressed by her professional accomplishments.
Water Wise is a proud member of the United Sates Swim School Association.

How Can I sign up?
Great News! No waiting in lines!! Your child does NOT have to attend Brown Academy to use our services! Simply down-load or pick up a registration and call our friendly staff! You can pick up a registration at Brown Academy or you may down load and print a registration form.

Choose the class you would like for your child and call  our friendly staff at Water Wise Swim School @ 239-772-5572 to verify the class you want. This is a first come first serve bases and classes fill up quickly. To reserve your child’s class, completed registrations and  the full payment is due prior to your child’s first class date and are nonrefundable. CASH, CHECK, and MONEY ORDERS only are accepted. Your check needs to clear before your child’s initial swim lesson. You can also register during a session if there is still availability and your fee will be pro-rated.

You may hand deliver your completed registration and payments to Brown Academy’s front office or you may mail it to Water Wise Swim School. You can find our address on the top of the registration information page. Please make checks or money orders payable to Water Wise Swim School. If a check is returned for any reason, a $25.00 fee will be charged to your account. Once you are notified payment is due immediately. Non-payment will result in your reservation being canceled. Due to class limitations, we reserve the right to change any group class that does not fill.                   

Parental Supervision
Parents or Guardians who bring siblings to the pool to observe must supervise their children before and after swimming lessons. Please do not allow children to enter the pool until the coach is ready for class. All clients not swimming must remain in the observation area during scheduled lessons.

Refunds
We have a no refund policy. If you know in advance that your child will miss a number of lessons, or if your child will be out for an extended time due to illness or vacation, we recommend that you suspend your lessons. The remaining balance will be held on your Water Wise account  as a  credit for 3 months in the same calendar year.

Make- Up’s
We will NOT be offering make-up classes starting March 15,2010. Make up lessons will be given if the instructor has to cancel due to inclement weather, personal reasons or pool needs to be closed. Fridays will be make-up classes. If your child attends Brown Academy, please pack your child's suit every Friday to be prepared for make-up class if needed.

If your child DOES NOT attend Brown Academy and you bring your child to swimming class ,please check with your instructor to find out if a make- up class will be conducted on Friday.

Brown Academy students should always have a packed swimming suit and towel on Fridays to be prepared for a make up class. If your child’s suit is not packed on the day they have a scheduled lesson NO make-up lesson will be offered. If your child does not have a suit packed on Fridays when we have make ups we can not offer another make-up lesson for a make up.

If we can not give you the make-ups due to weather conditions before the session ends Water Wise will credit your account for you to use for another session.

If your child has missed  at least 3 consecutive days due to an illness they will receive make-ups on Friday. Any child missing 3 days or more must have documentation from the Doctor to qualify for the make-up classes..

Weather
We are a year round swim school. Our pool is heated to a toasty 90 degrees in the winter and about 80 degrees in the summer. Outside temperature must be at least 70 degrees to swim. We swim rain or shine, only if the conditions are safe. If it is raining at your home or business do NOT assume it is raining at our location. We will be out of the pool for thunder and lightning. We use “ weather bug” on all our computers to keep updated on weather conditions as well as the horns that sound off on the golf courses when lightning is detected in a 5 mile radius.Classes that are canceled due to weather conditions will be made up on Fridays. Please read “Make-Ups” for details. If you have not heard from us it’s best to arrive. We will do our best to contact you.If you choose NOT to come because of the weather and we have NOT canceled, you will not be eligible for a make up or refund.

Cancellations & Withdraw
If you withdraw or cancel your child from class, you will not receive a refund. We will offer you a Water Wise credit for the amount you paid, less the amount of classes your child participated in and less the following cancellation fees. Registration fee is non-refundable and can not be used as a credit.

Payment Discounts
As of March 2010 our discounted rates for  ONLY Brown Academy teachers will be a  10% discount.

Multi-Child Discount for any parent or guardian enrolling at least 3 children will receive a 20% discount total. This discount applies to legal guardians only.

Swim Diapers
If your child is not toilet-trained or has been toilet trained for less than 6 months, they must wear a disposable swim diaper and an approved cloth swim diaper under their swimming suit to assure a triple layer of protection. The cloth diaper must pass the two finger test (if 2 fingers can be inserted under the elastic in the leg and waist,the diaper is too large and the child will not be permitted in the pool.) Disposable diapers alone do not pass the Board Of Health code for Public pools. You can purchase washable swim diapers at Target, Babies R Us, or Google washable swim diapers to purchase on line.

Photographs
Photos are taken at Water Wise Swim School occasionally and are used for Water Wise Swim School. Underwater Pictures are used for parents to purchase. If you do not want your child’s picture taken please indicate at the bottom page of the registration.
