Policies And Procedures
Thank you for choosing Water Wise Swim School. In order to provide a fun, safe and quality service for all of our swimmers and families we ask that you take a few moments to review the policies and procedures.
How Qualified are the instructors?
Each instructor is WSI certified and or is trained by Water Wise Swim School using state of the art curriculum for teaching swimming and teaching techniques that have taught thousands of children and adults to swim.
How Can I sign up?
Great News! NO waiting in lines! Simply down load a registration or pick one up at
Brown Academy. Fill out the registration form completely, call our friendly staff @ 239-738-9145 to put your child on the schedule, then mail or bring your registration and payment to Brown Academy before the deadline and your done!
CASH, CHECKS and MONEY ORDERS only are accepted.
This is a first come first serve bases and classes fill up quickly so call us and get your child swimming now!
Parental Supervision
Parents or Guardians who bring siblings to the pool to observe must supervise their children before and after swimming lessons. Please do not allow children to enter the pool until the coach is ready for class. All clients not swimming must remain in the observation area during scheduled lessons.
Refunds
We have a no refund policy. If you know in advance that your child will miss a number of lessons, or if your child will be out for an extended time due to illness or vacation, we recommend that you suspend your lessons. The remaining balance will be held on your Water Wise account as a credit for 3 months in the same calendar year. Please understand that once our schedule is full it prevents others from enrolling.
Make- Up’s
We will NOT be offering make-up classes starting March 15, 2010 if your child misses a class. If your child is ill and misses 3 or more consecutive swim lessons we must receive
Documentation from the Doctor for your child to be eligible for make up classes. If we can not fit your child in for a make-up class a credit for the classes he has missed will be added to your account for you to use any time.
Make-up lessons will always be given if the instructor has to cancel due to inclement weather, personal reasons or the pool needs to be closed.
Fridays are the days we have for Make-ups.
Brown Academy students should always bring a swimming suit and towel on Fridays in case we have make up classes due to cancelled classes.
We will either call or send a written notice home to let you know your child will have a make up class. If your child’s swimming suit is not packed the day they are scheduled to have a make-up, we can not offer another make up class.
If your child DOES NOT attend Brown Academy and you bring your child to class, please check with your instructor to find out when a make-up will be conducted.
Weather
Outside temperature must be at least 70 degrees to swim. We swim rain or shine, only if the conditions are safe. If it is raining at your home or business do NOT assume it is raining at our location. We will be out of the pool for thunder and lightning. We use “ weather bug” on all our computers to keep updated on weather conditions as well as the horns that sound off on the golf courses when lightning is detected in a 5 mile radius.Classes that are canceled due to weather conditions will be made up on Fridays. Please read “Make-Ups” for details. If you have not heard from us it’s best to arrive. We will do our best to contact you.If you choose NOT to come because of the weather and we have NOT canceled, you will not be eligible for a make up or refund.
Cancellations & Withdraw
If you withdraw or cancel your child from class, you will not receive a refund. We will offer you a Water Wise credit for the amount you paid, less the amount of classes your child participated in and less the following cancellation fees. Registration fee is non-refundable and can not be used as a credit.

Payment Discounts
Multi-Child discount for any parent or guardian enrolling at least 3 children will receive a 10% discount not including the registration fee.
Swim Diapers
If your child is not toilet-trained or has been toilet trained for less than 6 months, they must wear a disposable swim diaper and an approved cloth swim diaper under their swimming suit to assure a triple layer of protection. The cloth diaper must pass the two finger test (if 2 fingers can be inserted under the elastic in the leg and waist,the diaper is too large and the child will not be permitted in the pool.) Disposable diapers alone do not pass the Board Of Health code for Public pools. You can purchase washable swim diapers at Target, Babies R Us, or Google washable swim diapers to purchase on line.
Photographs
Photographs of any kind are not permitted when swimming classes are in session. Photos are taken at Water Wise Swim School occasionally and are used for Water Wise Swim School. Underwater Pictures are used for parents to purchase. If you do not want your child’s picture taken please indicate at the bottom page of the registration.
